I know there are people out there that have completed both the Johto and the Kanto circuit, so I've got to know: what comes after? Am I going to be bored out of my goddamn think pan or should I just be content to plant my ass somewhere?

Some places more than others. You can find trolls just about anywhere, though. Cities, forests. Caves. I mean naturally there are a fuck ton of us. Think about it... It's a planet of entirely children in different stages of their lives. The Mother Grub has to lay enough eggs for a population to thrive.

Most of it is civilized by now, I'm fairly sure - we tend to create cities and settlements, as opposed to flat-out living in caves; if we can't, it's considered impractical to live there, though I'm sure some do.

I'm honestly not terribly familiar with the cultures in other countries, unfortunately - at least, not as much as I'd like to be. I've only left Amestris' borders once in my life, and that was for a very brief period of time.

Because what with technological and alchemical advances being what they are, humans haven't lived that way for hundreds of years. Doing so is considered feral at this point.

Well, either way, I'm not familiar with this Nepeta person, but it's just something that's accepted. I can't say why, exactly - I suppose it's just the way circumstances evolved.

Cultural divide, I suppose; I recall there being several things about human behavior that you generally find strange. Likewise, some things you've told me come across as bizarre, I suppose, by human standards.

Honestly, given that humans can't even communicate with each other without running into issues like this, I can't say I'm surprised that interspecies communication isn't much better.
