[...he seems kind of amused by that, really.]

So I've been told, yes. But then, there are worse things to be, really.

Most consider me mad, in my world; I've never argued with them.

And what is it you aren't getting this time around, if I may?
explosivecombat: (Pretty sure my whole brain is crying)

I'm...sorry, it's not like I'm a what?

I see.

[...well

that's

...yep]

At any rate, humans don't always assess madness through one's actions, but rather by analyzing one's thoughts as well, particularly in regards to the general accepted standard of ethics and morality. As such, many of my thoughts would be considered heresy by most humans.

However, there's a difference between heresy and stupidity; appearing "sane" by human standards is all a matter of knowing what's acceptable and what isn't, and acting accordingly. It's study and self-control, nothing more.

[And again, that's seemed to amuse him.]

That's why I tend to refer to it as "heresy" rather than "insanity," when referring to my own assessment of myself. I won't deny that my thoughts are abnormal by everyone else's standards, but I'm not hallucinating or having meaningful conversations with the tea kettle, either.

It's more a difference in thought process, in my case, I think.

It's not anything I care about either way, really; if others take up issue with it, then it matters very little to me in the end.

Although I do have to wonder what you plan on doing in regards to this "enigma" you're perceiving me as.

Most aren't content to leave things like that alone.

Perhaps, but you can't pretend that your thought processes are so completely foreign to ours that we can't possibly fathom how you work.

But I'll grant it either way.

Having problems in that department again, are you? Go ahead, then.

And do you still feel anything in his direction?

Moving on is to be expected; while forgetting is something that I find unacceptable, given that it trivializes whatever thoughts and feelings you may have had toward someone, living in the past and refusing to move forward is equally unacceptable. The world doesn't stop because someone is no longer present in your life. Either you move forward with it or you don't, but the latter option serves no one.
