	♋♋♋ John is the human that Karkat is most comfortable with, besides Jade. He might have hated the stupid human at first, but he comes to realize later that he actually never hated John at all. Karkat really does consider them to be friends, even if John in Route 29 seems unsure or wary about him. There's a slight disconnect that Karkat can feel, but he's not quite sure what can be done about that. The human is still as dorky and derpy, and even as downright irritable, as he ever is. That has to count for something, even if Karkat is a little pissy that he has to start all over again. Now that Karkat's been in Johto for about six months, they don't talk much. Read as: not at all. At first, Karkat had been a little hurt, but has decided to move on and not worry about it. » ghostytrainer
	Rose Lalonde | Homestuck
	♋♋ ♦ According to Sollux, Rose is Karkat's former moirail in Route 29, which gives Karkat some conflicted feelings. While he can see that Rose is definitely palemate-worthy, there's still a matter of Karkat and hsi feelings towards Gamzee. Since she has not mentioned anything about it, Karkat takes it as a way to just move on from that potentially awkward situation. However, she has been nothing but helpful and encouraging, something that Karkat is not really used to getting, let alone accepting. Still, he trusts her simply for that reason. There's also a feeling that maybe he should have paid her more mind while in the Veil. Now six months later in Johto, she talks to him less than before, but at least it isn't outright ignoring. » tentacletrainer

	♋♋♋♋ ♡ Out of all four humans, Karkat has the most experience with Jade. She is the one that kind of made him take responsibility for his fuck ups instead of just blaming them on "Past Karkats." He happens to try to help her when dealing with her revived dreamself, though he's still a sarcastic douchebag with her from time to time. Really, he is the one person in who he has allowed to lead him in all of these shenanigans with the Green Sun. Karkat does respect her, mostly because she demands it. There are a little flushed feelings for Jade, probably because of how they have interacted. Like an old married couple, really. While he hasn't been able to talk with her too much in Route 29, the sentiments still remain to a degree. » eclectical

	♋♋ Karkat has no real feelings for Nepeta other than friendship and respect. On the other hand, he knows how much she really pities him. That makes Karkat uneasy, as he cannot return said feelings. At the same time, he doesn't want to hurt her or make her sad about that. Therefore, in Route 29, he doesn't know what to say to her currently. 	♋♋♋ Vriska is another troll that Karkat just doesn't care for too much. It's sad that she isn't going to get to have the relationship that she wants with John, but that's as far as Karkat's sympathetic feelings extend. Everything that she's done, he has asked her not to do. In fact, she promised that there would be no irons in the fire, and yet she ignored and broke that promise. Kind of means that what happened to her is kind of everything she had coming. Besides, her death had been totally just. In Route 29, they still bump heads. That hasn't changed. » 8etterl8

	♋♋♋♋♋♋ ♡♧ Vanitas is someone in Johto that Karkat had not expected to ever really meet, talk to, and become friends with. There's something about the guy that's unhinged and Karkat can recognize that. However, Vanitas is pretty stable as far as people with darkness goes. They've been talking for some time about various differences in their worlds and the world they find themselves in. Vani likes to be a bit of a brat now and then, but it's nowhere near the level that Sollux takes precedence in Karkat's life. So there's no threat of surface feelings of blackrom. Though Karkat has a feeling that Vanitas and the world don't get along at large and he kind of just wants to step him and slap that around a bit. The oddest part about this friendship is that, even though Vanitas might share some of the same apathetic and violent tendencies that trolls have, he still helps people out. He still helps Karkat out and seems to generally like hanging out. That's something that Karkat isn't used to. People mostly put up with Karkat and his antics, but Vanitas either feeds off of them or seems to be comfortable with it. The guy is like his best non-troll friend. This is why Karkat is pretty fucking grateful that Vanitas has decided to join up with him. After a serious discussion about fuck ups, Karkat thinks of Vanitas as one of his own, right up there with Sollux and Kanaya. Someone to feel responsible for. And might be crushing on just a bit. All in all, Karkat is really starting to depend on Vanitas and he's pretty sure that the feeling is mutual. » shadowdive

	♋♋ Karkat doesn't know much about Riku. What he does know is that the guy is extremely helpful. A goldmine of information and pretty patient with Karkat and how he operates. Everything that Riku has told Karkat seems to ring pretty true and it should. Riku has been there for two years - a sweep in Karkat's mentality. That sort of makes the guy respectable, especially considering that the dude is going on to do the other gyms at the special 100 level challenge. Talk about neat, right? » islandshore

	♋♋ Karkat no longer knows what to think about Kimblee. In the beginning, he had been one of the first Karkat really connected with about anything. Hell, they even exchanged gifts of sorts ( monetary but hey no complaints ). Though now there's something else there. As Karkat doesn't entirely pay attention to Rocket shenanigans, he never made the connection before. Now? Well... How does one interact with someone ( that isn't his moirail ) that seems to always be blowing stuff up? The answer to this is that Karkat just talks to Kimblee. In the end, the man helps Karkat out. While no one can ever replace Gamzee in Karkat's heart, Kimblee has been able to enable Karkat to have a level head about a few topics and/or concerns. He seems to take Karkat seriously and all of his problems and that's something that the troll needs, but doesn't seem to get that often. » explosivecombat

	♋♋ At first, Karkat kind of just wanted Link to fuck off. As he started talking with him, though, the guy doesn't seem half bad. Might not be the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to video game mechanics and the like, but hey. At least Karkat can tolerate him, for now. Since Link has offered to snag a Pokebeast for no reason other than to be helpful, no catch, Karkat has placed the guy into the "standard hero" trope in his mind. She is dubbed "Vani's girlfriend" because she flipped out at the sight of Vanitas getting into a fight with Karkat and then later Karkat helping Vanitas fix that arm. She is stubborn and doesn't back of when everything is just fine. The girl is also gullible and doesn't listen to what people are really saying to here. 	♋♋ Karkat believes Ventus to be an even bigger derp face than John, and that's saying something right there. The kid has good intentions and Karkat is just now starting to talk to him, just because of Vanitas. Speaking of Vanitas, Ventus is important to him. Half of a whole thing and Karkat sort of thinks it works kind of like a moiraillegence. Because of that, Karkat has no choice but to trust Ventus to a degree.
